I am a young, new mom who left the workforce to pursue the dream of being a stay at home mom. Many people think you are either lucky to be a SAHM or your husband makes a $100,000 plus a year. I am here to prove both wrong. Being a SAHM is a choice where I work to save as much as I can, but also splurge on items that I think are important and well worth the extra cash. I am an everyday person, paying off debt, raising a family on one income, and saving for the American dream… a home.

I have a 1 year old!!
I am proud to announce that we now have a 1 year old on our hands. Here is a picture of her delicious gluten free, egg free, dairy free, birthday cake. I was lucky enough to find a local bakery who didn't look at me like I was crazy when I inquired about such a complex cake. It never hurts to ask! I was just looking for dairy and gluten free when they said "We can make it egg free too." So I said sure why not. My daughter is allergic to dairy so you will see many more posts of substitutes that work for us. Yes this was a SPLURGE by the cost of the cake but as you will see, we SPLURGE a lot for her :)
